Las Vegas, Nevada, December 15, 2022– Cannon Security Product’s in Las Vegas was visited by the Las Vegas SWAT team on December 9 to collect 200 bikes for charity. Cannon Security Products and staff have collected the bikes over the past month to support Superheroes 4 Sully.
“We at Cannon Security Products are honored to be a part of this charity and we as a company thrive on making a difference in the community,” said Jesse Bugarin, President of Cannon Security Products. “We challenge other businesses in the Las Vegas area to find a way to make a difference in the community as well, whether it is collecting bikes to make Christmas a little brighter for some, or by some other means.”
As part of this initiative, Cannon Security Products collected bikes within the company to add to the final numbers for Superheroes 4 Sully. On Sully’s birthday, December 9, the LVPD SWAT Team showed up at the Cannon Security Product’s factory to collect the bikes for Superheroes 4 Sully.
“Without the support of the community, I could never have started the Superheroes 4 Sully program. Years ago, it all started with one bike,” said Kristen Mainor. “Now we have over 1,000 bikes a year and counting! It’s truly amazing to watch.”
Cannon Security Products plans to start collecting bikes throughout the coming year to increase donations for Superheroes 4 Sully in 2023.
Sullivan Bradley Mainor, the son of the Superheroes 4 Sully Founders Kristen, and Bradley S. Mainor died suddenly in Las Vegas, Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the age of 9, leaving Kristen struggling to cope with the loss of her son. One of the things she found herself doing, was “buying everything that Sully would have wanted for Christmas, and then donating it to kids in need.”
Sully, who would be 18 if he was alive today, is described by those who knew him as a deeply caring individual with a gift of self-realization for being sensitive to others’ needs. He was a friend to the friendless and was always lending a helping hand. He had a personality that made him “magnanimous” according to his father. A way to capture his essence and do something good was to collect toys for needy kids in the Las Vegas area. From this, the mission of Superheroes 4 Sully was created. Now every year, backed by the LVPD SWAT team, Kristen collects 1500 bikes yearly to be given to kids in need throughout the communities of Las Vegas.
